ALDO shoes had entered a period of accelerated international expansion with over 900 retail locations in over 30 countries around the globe. With the ever-increasing demand on a cohesive, engaging and memorable brand experience, we were hired to uncover the ALDO story and tell it in a way that would make their consumers connect with the brand. Acting as the lead designer and art director, and working in close collaboration with the client, we developed, designed, and executed a unique voice and story, allowing the company to connect with their consumers through honest and meaningful communications. The result is a cohesive, international advertising campaign, coupled with various internal and external communications, which stretch across platforms, marketing mediums and audiences—realizing a message of love for life by injecting each marketing initiative with integrity, passion, and soul.
For the FW08 campaign, we produced approximately 484 mechanicals: 147 for Out-of-Home executions, 33 for magazine and other print advertising, and 164 for their in-store advertising package. Ads ran in nearly 40 different countries and were reworked for 21 different languages.
