Lotus Vodka, a regional vodka startup, needed a brand and bottle design that would help them establish themselves in the region as they launched their series of vodkas, named “Blue Lotus,” “White Lotus,” etc., each featuring different additives (Vitamins to alleviate hangover or caffeine and taurine for an . The label is urban, hip and premium, while still remaining visible as an on-premise only vodka. An iconic, abstract, super-graphic of the lotus flower was developed as the main focus of the brand—enhancing visibility and increasing marketing power. A small gap of exposed glass left open between the opaque, chrome logo and the color flood of the label produce a memorable effect when light is shined from beneath the bottle—the lotus flower appears to glow.
